The Oxford and Cambridge Trophy

The Oxford and Cambridge Trophy is a tankard in "Best English Pewter". This is an exception to the other trophies, not only in that it is not a club trophy but in that it's not actually for cycling.

It was awarded anually from 1935 to 1977 to the winner of an annual darts competition between the CTC DAs (district associations) in Cambridge and Oxford. It has not been awarded since, and since Cambridge won it in 1977 the tankard remains in the posession of CTC Cambridge.

There's a photo (date unknown) of an Oxford DA vs Cambridge DA darts match at The Bell, Woburn in our archive of historical photos here.

On the front is a small CTC "winged wheel" emblem and the following words:

between
OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE CYCLISTS
